Nairobi, Kenya – February 2026 — Skyward Airlines, one of Kenya’s fastest-growing domestic carriers, has announced the launch of scheduled flights to Vipingo Ridge, marking a strategic expansion into one of the country’s most exclusive coastal destinations.
✈️ New Route: Wilson Airport to Vipingo Ridge
Starting 13th February 2026, Skyward Airlines will operate flights on Fridays and Sundays between Wilson Airport and Vipingo Ridge, with fares starting from as low as Ksh 13,260 one way.
The new route strengthens Skyward Airlines’ coastal network, which already includes popular destinations such as Mombasa, Ukunda (Diani), Malindi, and Lamu.
🤝 Strategic Partnership Signed
The announcement follows a strategic partnership agreement signed between the management of Vipingo Ridge and Skyward Airlines at the airline’s headquarters at Wilson Airport. The collaboration underscores both organizations’ commitment to enhancing accessibility to Kenya’s coastal treasures while supporting the growth of domestic tourism and hospitality.
From Skyward Airlines:
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Skyward Airlines’ leadership emphasized that the new route aligns with the airline’s mission to connect travelers to both underserved destinations and premium leisure offerings across Kenya:
*”Since our establishment in 2013, Skyward Airlines has focused on bridging the gap between Kenya’s major hubs and unique destinations that deserve better connectivity. Vipingo Ridge represents the epitome of coastal luxury—a world-class golf resort, wildlife sanctuary, and lifestyle destination that has been challenging to access for many travelers. Our decision to launch this route is driven by increasing demand from golfers, tourists, and those seeking an exceptional coastal experience.”*
From Vipingo Ridge:
Vipingo Ridge management welcomed the partnership as a transformative step in making the 2,000-acre estate more accessible to both domestic and international visitors:
“Vipingo Ridge has established itself as Kenya’s premier golf destination, home to East and Central Africa’s only PGA-approved course and PGA Academy. This partnership with Skyward Airlines will significantly enhance our accessibility, allowing more guests to experience our championship Baobab Course, pristine Beach Club at Kuruwitu Marine Park, and the unique blend of luxury accommodation and wildlife sanctuary that defines our offering.”
