NAIROBI – A major transformation is underway along one of Kenya’s most critical transport arteries. The Rironi–Naivasha–Gilgil (A8) and Rironi–Maai Mahiu–Naivasha (A8 South) roads—two strategic branches of Kenya’s primary Northern Corridor—are currently undergoing a significant upgrade spearheaded by the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) .

Launched by H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto in November 2025, this transformative project represents a decisive intervention in a corridor long plagued by chronic congestion, safety challenges, and economic bottlenecks.
