Kisumu continues to shine on the continental stage! The city has been selected as the first-ever host of the African Smart Cities and Townships Alliance (ASCA) Summit, taking place from 11th–13th September 2025 at Ciala Resort.
This landmark event reinforces Kisumu’s growing reputation as a premier destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), building on the success of past gatherings like the Africities Summit (2022) and the AfSNET Conference (2024).
️ What is ASCA?
The Africa Smart Cities and Townships Alliance (ASCA) is a global public-private partnership focused on driving sustainable urban and rural development across Africa through innovation, technology, and collaboration.
Initiated by the World Smart Cities Forum (WSCF), ASCA expands the Global TWIN CITIES Initiative (TCI) – already active in five African cities, including Mombasa and Konza Technopolis.
